Toyota fortuner launch in India

Toyota India has launched their Fortuner SUV toyota fortuner in India.It would be assembled in India at its Bidadi factory in Bangalore. This would result in an aggressive pricing to compete with CRV & the Captiva.

It will be available in 2.7V Petrol & 2.5G Diesel variants. The petrol version have 4-cylinder, in-line 16-valve, DOHC, VVT-i engine where-as the diesel one have DOHC Turbo diesel. Both the variants have come with only auto transmission in its 2009 face lifted version.

Toyota Fortuner is single variant and will give competition to other city SUVs like the Honda CR-V, Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Captiva and Mitsubishi Outlander.

Toyota Fortuner price at about Rs 18.45 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi beats the price of similar competition from other auto makers.
