Rathore attacked by a youth with a knife

Sixty eight year old former DGP S P S Rathore was left bleeding after the youth, who was taking his pictures as he came out of the district court, hit him repeatedly on the left cheek.

Rathore has been rushed to a nearby hospital with injury marks on his face. Rathore's condition is said to be stable.

The attacker has been taken into custody. The former Haryana DGP was present in the court in connection with the hearing of the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case.

Earlier the Chanidgarh court decided to go in for an in-camera hearing on SPS Rathore's appeal in Ruchika Molestation Case.

The former Haryana Director General of Police was awarded 6 months punishment by CBI Special Judge for molesting the 14-year-old budding tennis player in August 1990.
