Sonic the Hedgehog 4 revealed

SEGA have revealed that the upcoming Sonic game with the working title of ‘Project NeedleMouse’ will indeed officially be titled ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4′ which will be developed as a high-definition 2D Sonic the Hedgehog game targeted for release later this year.

This was the title previously known as Project Needlemouse.

It’ll be digitally released in episodes, with the first part due this summer, and is the first true sequel in the series in over 15 years.

It’s a 2D game with 3D graphics.

Despite it being Sonic and what’s happened with the series recently, it’s official: we. are. pumped.
