Lalit Modi suspended, BCCI confirms

The BCCI suspends Modi till pending enquiries. Minutes after the grand IPL final, BCCI officials e-mailed a show cause notice to Lalit Modi.
The suspension means Modi cannot attend Monday's meeting of the Governing Council, a meeting that has a one-point agenda: to force Modi out.
The BCCI then used Rule 32 of its constitution which allows the board's president (currently Shashank Manohar) to suspend an official.
Earlier in the evening, despite the sword of ouster hanging over his head, Modi put up a brave face and spoke about a brand new auction next season.
