* Samsung Favorite Song of the year ‘Anjala’ – Varanam Aaiyram.
* Surya - Best Actor award.
* Simran - Clear Best Supporting Actor Female ‘Varanam Aaiyaram’.
* Harris Jayaraj - Whirlpool Best Music Director award for his composition.
Playback Singer Hariharan won the award for his ‘Nenjukkul peithidium’ song and Lyricist Thamarai was awarded the Best Lyricist for the same song. Banu and Yogesh were awarded the Best Makeup artists for Vaaranam Aaiyaram.
