Veteran Malayalam actor Murali passes away
Veteran Malayalam actor Murali died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday night at the age of 55. He was suffering from diabetes.
He has acted in more than 200 Malayalam and a few Tamil movies in a film career that began in the early 80s.
Murali had won the national award for best actor in 2002 for the Malayalam film 'Neythukaran' directed by Priyanandan. He has also won five state awards for best actor in the Malayalam movies Neythukaran, Aadharam, Kaanakinavu, Thalolam, Amaram (Supporting role). He has also acted in several Tamil and Telugu films also.
Murali was admitted to hospital Wednesday following breathing problems and liver complaints. He suffered a cardiac arrest.
The funeral will take place at Aruvikara near here Friday evening. His body has been kept at the VJT hall before the last rites for the general public to pay their last respects
