Dussehra | Dasara Greetings | Goddess Durga

Dussehra is celebrated by Hindus all over India. At some place it is called Vijayadashmi. According to the legend, this day Lord Rama killed the demon-king, Ravana. After killing Ravana, Lord Ram rescued his wife Sita who was abducted by the Ravana. The festival implies the victory of good over evil.
On this day, people place effigies of Ravana, Meghnad, and Kumbhkarna in open space and burn them. Crackers are filled in the effigies.
